Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya, Trang Campus, has been actively pursuing its “Green Campus” initiative, focusing on enhancing the campus environment and promoting energy efficiency. In recent years, there has been a significant increase in the use of personal vehicles, particularly cars and motorcycles, by students, faculty, staff, and visitors. As a sustainable alternative, electric bicycles have gained popularity, providing a convenient, flexible, and eco-friendly mode of transportation that saves energy.
On September 2, 2024, at the small conference room of the Trang Campus Office Building, Assistant Professor Sitthichoke Janyong, Vice President of Trang Campus, signed an agreement for electric bicycle parking services with Goco Transtech Co., Ltd. Mr. Nattapong Kitjatananee, Executive Director of Goco Transtech Co., Ltd., signed on behalf of the company. Ms. Usa Sricharoen, Director of Trang Campus Office, Ms. Jaruwan Chuprasit, and Mr. Kittipong Sanitpu witnessed the signing.
The agreement provides for the installation of 35 electric bicycle stations across the Trang Campus, with a service rate of 2 THB per minute. Users will be able to make payments via the GOGO BIKE app, which is currently in development. The service will soon be available for students, staff, and the general public, offering a convenient and sustainable transportation option on campus.
